Students had a few minutes to finish up their assignment from the past 2 days. I then went over and reviewed part of their assignment. The main ideas are the underground railroad leads to the necessity of the compromise of 1850, particularly the compromise of 1850. That leads to the Kansas Nebraska Act. That is made worse with the Dred Scott Decision. At the end of the day both sides are upset, Slavery has expanded to all parts of America, and the North is not allowing it.
